Key components of a renovation estimate

1. Labour Costs

  • My Home Estimate calculate labour costs based on the skill and time required for the project, as well as prevailing labour rates in your area.

2. Materials

  • The estimate includes all the materials needed for the project.

3. Permits and Fees

  • It does not account for any extra over permits and fees required for your project to go ahead.

4. Access

  • Extraordinary access to your site along with obscure scaffolding requirements are NOT included within this estimate.

5. Contingency Fund

  • The estimate does NOT include a contingency fund, you must consider this on top and allow at least 5% extra over.

6. Taxes and Markup

  • VAT is included within your estimate, however it does not include any taxes or associated liabilities that may be due in your local area.
