Key components of a renovation estimate
1. Labour Costs
My Home Estimate calculate labour costs based on the skill and time required for the project, as well as prevailing labour rates in your area.
2. Materials
The estimate includes all the materials needed for the project.
3. Permits and Fees
It does not account for any extra over permits and fees required for your project to go ahead.
4. Access
Extraordinary access to your site along with obscure scaffolding requirements are NOT included within this estimate.
5. Contingency Fund
The estimate does NOT include a contingency fund, you must consider this on top and allow at least 5% extra over.
6. Taxes and Markup
VAT is included within your estimate, however it does not include any taxes or associated liabilities that may be due in your local area.
